Pinterest + Brandwatch partnership UX/UI

Designing the landing page and product mock-ups for Pinterest and Brandwatch

When I was brought into this project, the platform’s UI was functional but lacked refinement. The original interface had been designed primarily by developers—meaning it worked, but it wasn’t optimized for clarity, usability, or visual appeal. My task was to take those existing screens and transform them into something polished, intuitive, and on-brand.

This wasn’t a full-scale UX redesign requiring months of research and a team of managers—it was a focused effort to improve the presentation, usability, and user experience without altering the platform’s core functionality.

The challenge: turning complexity into simplicity

The existing product screens contained a lot of raw functionality but weren’t designed with the user in mind. The interface felt cluttered, interactions were not always intuitive, and the visual design didn’t reflect the brand’s identity cohesively. My challenge was to:

  • Streamline the UI—making it clearer and easier to navigate

  • Ensure consistency—so the product feels seamless within the brand ecosystem

  • Enhance usability—without changing the underlying functionality

The approach: balancing UI polish with UX logic

I started by analysing the existing screens and identifying areas where simplification was needed. This wasn’t about adding unnecessary embellishments—it was about removing friction and ensuring the platform looked as good as it functioned.

  • I redesigned the layout and hierarchy, making key actions more prominent while reducing visual noise

  • I introduced a cleaner, more intuitive UI that aligned with the brand’s aesthetic

  • I refined interactive elements to ensure a smooth user flow without overcomplicating the experience

The outcome: a more cohesive and user-friendly interface

The result was a UI that felt more polished, modern, and user-centric. The updates made the platform more visually cohesive, easier to use, and more engaging—all while maintaining the integrity of the original functionality.
